Webarts to Support WordFrame Push for China, SouthEast Asia, Australasia

WordFrame logo

This has been a special week for our company, with ITBrix/ WordFrame announcing, via PRWeb, our appointment as solution providers for WordFrame – with a special emphasis on our Asia Pacific region.

This post is along the lines of a social media release, drawing on the template released a couple of years ago by Todd Defren, although it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles the template suggests. Copying of the content of this post is encouraged :).

Quotes

Des Walsh, Webarts CEO quotes:

“I had direct experience of using the platform through being a member of the Social Media Collective blogging group, which uses WordFrame to drive its aggregation.”

“WordFrame is a really neat collaboration solution, covering blogs, wikis, social networking, group messaging, document management, and RSS feed aggregation. It is also highly scalable, so it is a very effective solution for a wide range of companies and organizations. Its range of functions, combined with it being developed using Microsoft standard technology makes it very attractive as a corporate solution.”

George Athannassov, ITBrix CEO quote:

“We are delighted to be teaming up with Webarts and Des. His company can help us increase our sales and support coverage in the Far East and Australasia, and provide our customers with the consulting support we need. WordFrame Demo Registration

I’ve had some enquiries about how to register for one of the WordFrame demo sessions I wrote about two days ago.

There is a registration form on the WordFrame site.

WordFrame demo signup page

There are three options, identified as “Australasia, Europe and North America”. This is for your relative time convenience. You can sign up for any of the demo sessions, wherever you are. GMT is indicated for each.

To get the relevant time in your part of the world, I recommend the Time and Date site, especially using its Meeting Planner option.

Please contact us if you have any difficulty with the registration form or logging in to the demo.

New WordFrame Demo Times for Asia Pacific and Europe

WordFrame logoHaving tried to explain to a few people what WordFrame is and how it works, I have become a great believer in the power of demonstrations!

Slight problem: till now, the scheduled demonstrations have been at a time that works well for the USA and Canada, but not so well for the Asia Pacific region.

When I raised this with CEO George Athannassov, he responded in his usual can-do style and now, a few days later, we have a schedule of demos to accommodate a wider range of time zones.

The new schedule is set out on the WordFrame Blog in the post Official WordFrame Community Platform Demos Schedule.

There are now three sessions scheduled for each week, designed to accommodate people/companies in:

  • USA and Canada
  • Northern Europe
  • Asia and Australasia

Here at The Webarts Company in particular, we’re hoping the new Asia-focused demo session scheduled for people in China, South East Asia and Australasia will work well. The time will be 9 am on Fridays in Beijing and other centres on the same time zone, e.g. Singapore, Manila.

In Australia it will be at 12 noon Sydney time on Friday for the next couple of weeks until the changeover from Eastern Summer (Daylight Saving) Time to Eastern Standard Time, on Sunday April 6, after which date it will be at 11 am on Fridays.

As the post on the WordFrame blog asks:

Please take a look what suits you best and write a small note to sales@wordframe.com or go to http://demo.wordframe.com and signup for the demos by leaving your name and e-mail as a commentary on the Post regarding the demos on the home page there.

If you are interested in having a demo and none of the times in the schedule work for you, please contact us and let us know what would work for you.

WordFrame Demos Soon for Europe and Asia Time Zones

On my deswalsh.com site I posted the other week about the launch of WordFrame, a social media platform, web publishing, collaboration and content management tool - and why I was (and am) excited about that. Some more good news today on the WordFrame Blog, where CEO George Athannassov says he and UK based David Terrar are looking at providing WordFrame demo sessions at times more congenial to those of us in the Europe, Asia and Australasia regions. From my experience, the quickest, most illuminating way to get an understanding of what WordFrame can do for our business is an online demo. As George explains in his post, he and David have been running these, but currently they are timed to be more congenial to people in North America than in some other parts of the world ( Friday at noon, 12:00 PM, Mountain Standard Time).I intend to put a link in the sidebar of this site, with information about demos and times, once I have the details.

New Dawn for The Webarts Company Site

We’ve been in business a long time and last week we realized that, although we constantly tweak various other websites and blogs we own, we have somewhat neglected this, the company “mother ship” website.

So this is a new look for this site.

Earlier efforts, whether our own overly ambitious efforts to be own coders and designers, or contracted out to specialist web designers, took weeks to get up to speed.

A beautiful thing about the new social media is that we can decide on a Friday night that it is time for a new look and fresh functionality and have that accomplished before the weekend is over. Another is that we can add and modify elements as we go.

We won’t guarantee we’ll stick with this WordPress theme - Structure, by Justin Tadlock - excellent as it seems to be, but we believe it will get us off on the right foot. One advantage is that there are Chinese and Japanese versions, which suits our needs for our interaction with markets in the Asia Pacific region. Korean would be good too, but we don’t have that yet.

All suggestions for improvements will be gratefully received.

And if you are wondering who “we” are, check the little screed on our About page for a succinct statement of what the company does and who our team and main strategic partners are.
